I do not have that experience at all. Mine is all video games and science. Its based on what you interact with, even if its negative. Engagement is engagement. Even just hovering over a video can result in it being recommended again.

Don't forget their general lack of moderation. I'd use just about any site over OK.ru as I've seen some truly reprehensible videos on there.
Its more than just the hardware, many don't want to put any time into the software either. I've tried to get one friend to use the gaming PC he already has and he just flat out refuses. He finds it "breaks too often and has too many issues" which idk I've never had that level of issues but I've also been using them my entire life lol.
I had the same reaction when TotalBiscuit died 6 years ago. Loved watching his reviews and his humor was always top. It's hard to lose someone who you don't know but feel like you do from all the hours of their lives they've shared with us.
I think you underestimate how many people don't want to deal with the overhead of a PC vs a console. Like for you and me, it's straight forward and simple to use a PC but I have friends who truly struggle with technology and its just easier for them to not have to deal with anything beyond their boxed in OS on their console.

Like competitive games, but I don't like overly competitive people. At the end of the day, win or lose, it's still a video game and it should be fun. Competitive games with friends who understand that and don't get tilted can be great fun, even when you're on a losing streak.
