I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD since I was fourteen. I am now thirty. I’ve done my research to manage my condition and have come across this; and even more, I have experienced this very thing. It is not the whole picture, certainly, and as ADHD is a spectrum, it will not be present in all of us; but it is not an uncommon symptom; and it’s basically what I could pull from the post without making assumptions about anon’s other characteristics.
Could be ADHD. The idea of a new relationship and the dopamine from the chase and the victory would be relatively short-lived, and their brain would naturally start seeking out its next hit.
…How do these people not realise they’re being scammed? It’s… blatant!
It could only be more obvious if the documents were being held by a Nigerian Prince who wanted to send $1 million along with them! I feel like I could walk up to one of these fools and tell them, “I am actively scamming you, but if you trust me with a few dollars, magical fairies will come and restore you to your prime and grant you and those you love eternal youth, life, and wealth,” and they’d give me everything they could get their hands on!
It’s almost hard to not pity them at this point…
Could be a bunch of stuff that was hyper-accelerated by slingshotting off a black hole. Those are difficult to detect at the best of times, it would make sense if that void was just full of the things.
