Mint is pretty good, but I found the update center GUI app to always fail to update things like Firefox with some mirror error (regardless of whether you told it to use it or not). It happened for my old desktop (now my dad’s main computer), my LG laptop or used HP elitedesk G4. Using “sudo apt update” + “sudo apt upgrade” + Y (to confirm) on the command line was 10x easier and just worked. I do feel better/safe now that they use Linux for internet browsing instead of windows too.

Worse, they have been taking after the US and only allowing single family homes and car based infrastructure. They also elect idiots like Doug Ford.

Doug: “I feel so safe on this bike in the city of Toronto”. Also Doug: “my commute is extended a few minutes, fuck the people that actually live in the city, I’ll remove the bike lanes with fake data and by riling up other lazy fucks like myself so I can drive my car from the suburbs into the city quicker”

There is a whole channel “not just bikes” about non car based transportation and public spaces that commonly cites Canada as basically US 2.0 (from a guy that used to live in Canada before, and still has family there).

And the 2 happiest days of ownership are when you get it and when you get rid of it. Although I’m guessing some people might be having second thoughts as they take delivery given all the news about the build quality. Truly revolutionary, making boats seem reliable.

Doesn’t matter as long as the stocks go up 20% in anticipation.

Can’t be delayed if there is no release date (other than possible 2025). Luckily Nintendo does delay their games when needed.

Rick Bayless on YouTube has this method on a recent video. He adds a little salsa that can taste pretty good. Reminds me of the way we had it where I grew up.

If you wait for the perfect solution, you likely will never get it. Similar to pedestrian friendly infrastructure and people’s expectations on day 1.

Ah, the good Nintendo Entertainment System Super or SNES from Australia and some right hand drive countries.

He wasn’t unlikable, but did also benefit from the Reddit and online hive mindset. It was impossible to criticize him since he was “on a noble mission to expand science/tech, eco friendly transport and rockets”.

I was also one of the people that thought he was interesting. Once you look back you see that there were small clues like people talking about him getting kicked out of PayPal for what seems like incompetence and what not. His PR team really did a great job of keeping him clean for a while there.

The quick 360 on policies does show that he is like any other CEO or executive, someone that will lie in your face to sell you something and line his pockets.

Edit: on retrospective he is like many career politicians, just more unhinged since he has a lot of nepo money to fall back into.
