I usually vote NDP, as they’ve the most pro-union party. If Canadian sovereignty is on the line, I want the smartest fucking person in charge. I’m lucky that my area always leans left for our MP. For others, I just hope the vote doesn’t get split between NDP and Liberal in more conservative areas.

I’m concerned that if a referendum was conducted, the US could heavily interfere with public opinion and spread misinformation on how good it would be to leave Canada. And if the federal government shut down the referendum, the US would use that as an excuse to use their military to “liberate” Alberta.
