Explain how that's relevant.

you seem to be following me around different Lemmy communities with a 3-hour-old account. Any reason for that?

WTF no I'm not. I'm replying to you on this post.

It's a small ass community. If you're posting lots than we're gonna cross paths.

edit: ohhhh you posted the linked in post as well. Ya no I'm not following you. Hadn't even realized you were the same person.

you're OK with it because you like the policy.

That's not what I said. You need to differentiate between acknowledgements and endorsements. Those statements are facts, not my wishes.

You sound like someone who's never been in a position of responsibility. Who's never had to make a decision knowing that someone would be upset or even harmed.

I have written multiple letters regarding Bills C-2 and C-5 griping their lack of oversight and potential over reach. Also wrote letters about his whole, "No budget" plan.

This is policy. We can hold our politicians accountable without devolving conversations to gossip and ad hominins.

I agree with this. I think a lot of Carney haters conveniently forget who Poilievre is. But in general every good point this blog post had to offer was buried underneath writing that shouldn't have been cut out in a draft.

  1. Right leaning people are still people/canadians whose needs and contributions matter. Appealing to them is not the same as doing their bidding.

  2. Transitioning to renewables doesn't mean zero new oil/gas infrastructure. 100% renewables is simply NOT an option yet. Given the world's tendency to adopt Canadian standards, there are positives to Canada becoming an energy leader.

Making everything about the party leader is the level of thinking that MAGA operates on. I simply cannot respect opinions that ignore the larger context and conflate individuals with entire countries.

Yup. Here's my thoughts on those.

  1. DGAF bout stampede and pancake flipping

  2. DGAF bout stampede and pancake flipping

  3. Only mention of replacement in that article is union saying AI cannot replace them. IMO we need more AI tools in public service.

  4. The expectations being unrealistic are your allegations. Based on what I've read from you, you're wholly unqualified to make those kind of determinations.

  5. Broken Link. I'll assume it's your opinion that the timelines are unrealistic.

  6. Canada's steel/auto sectors are highly integrated and interruption is going to have massive ripple effects in the Canadian economy. So yea Carney is meeting with their CEOs. NEXT.

  7. Our legislature has been largely ineffective and it's Clear the CPC/PP intend to continue gridlocking our government. Shifting power from the house is hardly the biggest problem with C-5. Further illustrating that you're not writing this article objectively but with a specfic target in mind.

  8. An amendment gets voted down and this relates to pancakes HOW? At least this is a legitimate concern about C5. Albeit a widely discussed one.

Honestly that's as far as I got. I have concerns about bills C-2 and C5, but the way you're trying to connect this to Carney personally is a waste of my time as a reader.

You absolutely lost me when you started trying to call out his financial holdings. It's right there in his response... Is Pierre Poilievre on the up and up with his stock options?

If I had written that and submitted it to my English teacher he would have told me to delete 80% and do 3 more drafts.

This whole thing comes off as a Carney hate piece with zero objectivity. You need to appreciate that the people taking the time to read articles are likely going to be turned off by blatantly biased writing.

I personally am only bothering to respond because clearly you put some effort into this, and maybe you do have something valid to say. But you got some work to do first.

So what? LinkedIn is mostly a conservative leaning audience. I don't see what's surprising or concerning here.

If we want to discuss pipelines and railways I think generally speaking going east to west is better than north/south; if you get my drift.

Every concern I have about those kind of projects falls under the umbrella of Bill C-5... not Calgary's national cowboy dressup photo booth.

TLDR: Author calls Carney a nightmare boss than proceeds to neurotically nitpick him like the worst micromanager in the multiverse. Literally no connection between their vapid observations and the baseless claims they allege.

The comments they made here are a clear indication of the lack of objectivity and frame of reference behind their writing. But it is an opinion and entitled to be so. It's just not a very good opinion.

It's astounding how accurate this is. I spent 2016 - 2024 playing this game with a friend that I eventually cut off.

He'd parrot something insane that he didn't fact check.

I'd point out the flaws.

He'd come back with his google search results.

I'd actually read them and point out half of them disagreed with him and the other half were verifiably trash.

He'd run away from the conversation and refuse to respond to anything political I say until he forgets; cuz he never learns.

Agreed. Though I defs think Randy's musical side was written in long before they had the idea to make him Lorde. Definitely something I'll expand on in my Randy Evolution post.

The irony would be hilarious but I'd wager he'll make a great propaganda piece to keep the MAGA base in line. They'll blast his story to convince them that the lack of due process is a liberal lie.
