I’m loving mailbox.org as an alternative to Gmail and Magic Earth as a replacement for Google Maps. Also I’ve been using Ecosia - both the browser and the search engine. Sadly the search engine is just a reskinned bing, but they are involved in the project of making the first real EU based search engine. And once that’s out I’m looking forward to using that.

Several excellent applications currently offer comprehensive alternatives to Google services. What are your preferred applications at this time?
What I can mainly find about Austrialia is that that a local LGBTIQ+ organization called “Equality Australia” has released a 5 page document to warn people.

That line reminded that I heard at some point that it’s not uncommon for burglars to leave behind a pile of their own poop in a place they broke into. Don’t quite recall the explanation, but I think it was something about adrenaline and fight or flight. Can’t find the source right now but if I do I’ll post it.

Technically I’m still on it. I just stopped interacting there. Might post on some of the niche crafting subreddits sometimes in the future because I miss those on here. For everything else Lemmy is far superior. Decided to “switch over” when I found out that half of my comments and posts got shadowbanned.
