Let's be fair now: he also raised his national profile among the party faithful.

Yeah, I get that.

It seemed like you presented it as a given that just because it's at a restaurant, it's higher quality.

I was trying offer the counterexample and suggest that the grocery store frozen food is also intentionally different making "quality" difficult to compare.

I believe you.

I do remember some Bible stuff, but most of it was other people. My history with that (recovering evangelical) causes me to tune it out hard.

Well, except criminal court where sentencing is a joke because no human is held accountable.

Kill a bunch of people? That'll be a fine you pass on to your customers.

Oof.

Best of luck staying sane.

I had Booker's speech on for about 8 hours. I can remember only one mention of Palestine. It was memorable because he quickly danced around it and moved on. In a 25 hour speech.

And yeah, if he were the candidate against Trump, I'd vote for him because, well, look around.

Draconian, but merely dubious?

Legally dubious and morally repugnant.

Higher quality seems like a stretch based on the last times someone dragged me to a crappy national chain.

Higher salt and fat content definitely, because that shit tastes good. At the grocery store, you're far more likely to shop for things that seem healthy, and the restaurant meals would have insane nutrition labels (especially if they were honest about restaurant serving sizes).

You say 2 years, but the election is 19 months away and early campaigns will start in 8. Shit, we'll probably see the first early messaging by the end of summer. So it's no stretch to believe that some candidates for target races are being vetted already. And that means anger now makes a difference.

Paper plane season is nearly upon us!

I've been drinking too much blue state (not a brand just where they're from) whiskey neat. Though I've made several boulevardiers with one of the less approachable bottles I've acquired recently. Made a couple "black" to kill a languishing bottle of amaro (substitute for the vermouth). Added a dash of china china to a couple to add some more excitement (not more than a bar spoon or it becomes too sweet).

Auto lid, auto flush checking in.

Yes, I'm spoiled.

I started with a $30 cheapo 10 years ago and it was life changing. Last year I got a stupid expensive one. Like, has a night light, auto flush (because I got the matching toilet), auto lid, heated seat, heated water, deodorizer, wireless remote, etc. (Toto S7A)

Just so you're prepared, the air dry doesn't fully replace the pat dry entirely unless you're gonna sit there for a good long time.

That said, I have no regrets.

Got the uppers painted and installed.

Time to find some MDF for the face frame, drawer fronts, and shelves. Which reminds me, I need a router bit for the integrated drawer pulls she wants.

My first project is really coming together!

Built a set of drawers cabinets to my wife's specs for the closet. Still have uppers, face frame and overlay fronts to do, but the garage was too full to keep going.

4ft (122cm) tall bank of drawers with full extension soft close undermount slides. 88in.(222cm) wide.

Feel free to make fun of the 2x4 toe kick! Rest assured I've learned my lesson.

All cuts made with my portable DeWalt table saw after breaking down sheets with my Ryobi circular saw and a harbor freight clamp as an edge guide.
