V2 has place to solder hotswap adapters while V1 only lets you solder onto the board.

I have had pretty bad pain all week in my stomach. And today I started to actually feel sick.

It seems like my ibs/gastritis ridden stomach feels all of this happening miles before anything even happens. Anyone else have similar exp?

I think fairphone is more adamant on fair conditions even if it is manufactured in China. Dont they just not want to support US for now?

You most likely can get a decent phone manufactured in decent conditions if you want and dont even need to overpay yourself as much. I have been eyeing Gigaset because it is made in Germany.

Despite that, even most of the people here dont. Little peasant with "sticks" is a bit hypocritical when you have maximum awareness and an ability to start making order in your close proximity.

Except instead of carrying sticks, you carry slave labour made Iphone while being 10x more aware of your environment. I guess its almost the same...

The guy who wrote this turns out to be not normal in the last sentence. Whatever the hell it means.

Well this was dumb, off to hang myself

9 months is heck of a long time, you should put it to good use.

The basic set of thinking is what do you want to put your effort into. Staying on your feet for 9 months will in itself be a worthwhile effort to prove to yourself that this motherfucker stayed alive. Lot to gain as your brain gains from leaning into challenges

Other option, if you suspect that might not be a realistic expectation, is to get to experimenting. There is hell of a lot to go through and you have to knock on all doors before you have an idea what helps. SSRI substances have months of comeup time and by the time you get in front a psychiatrist you might have an idea whether the most likely prescribed substance does anything to you.

9 months is by no means some kind short patience game in the ER waiting for "medical professionals". Its literally fucking leaving you in the desert. And you must act accordingly and get walking, there is no reinforcement coming.

Thank you! Im sorry if that made you worried in any way, I just really wanted the extra functionality.

I am new to ergonomic and programmable keyboards, but something felt fun about making it as cheap as possible by doing 5 at once, and cheapinos at that. I spent quite a few hours on slimming down the cost and ended up spending roughly 35-40 bucks per board, switches and keycaps included. For this I have:

  • Magnetic USB-C cable
  • 360 rotatable RJ45 cable
  • Hotswap Cheapino V2 board that hopefully works
  • Spare PCB that can serve as bottom.
  • Of course it has rotary encoder as well.
  • ABT Green/Red Aliexpress sourced keycaps.
  • Either Gateron G Pro v3.0 Silver or Tecsee Purple Panda switches (very good budget switches based on reading)

For this, how much would you realistically ask for? Either max profit or your preferred cost.

I have been looking at Fairphone and Volla, and it feels like the Smartphone scene for Linux is going very strong right now.

Think of it like this: We got 3-4 end-user ready Ubports smartphones, ~~made by IN Europe~~(Volla/Gigaset is), with recent hardware, swappable battery, very good service and repairability in various formats. You can even purchase Gigaset phones (commercial equivalents of Volla) in stores/Amazon for a very good price.

The immediate orbiters of Linux smartphones like Fxtec, Planet Computers and Jolla are also based here.

I think we reached the year of the Linux phones. Atleast it is not the niche it was in 2020. I wonder how usable ubports is. If you got any experience with these phpnes on ubports, feel free to share.
