Well, he says it himself: he did not turn out well. Should do better in next life!

In my experience gay people usually have a better taste, not this shallow, birdlike love for shiny things. Still a freak!

Sky fibre user here. You absolutely can use alt router! Just look at their forums. There are limits, but Asus and others do have options for you. By the way, it is also much faster and reliable wifi than Sky's own device.

Factorio quite literally made me ill. Had to have my back fixed after a few months playing as i spent many, many hours sitting way too still. This game must come with the health warnings!

So, i am confused. If Musk says something is bad - then it must be good, right? But that thing is coming from Trump, meaning it certainly must be horrible shit. So much confusion!

If only it was not real!..

Ah, had similar experience! Found coal in the farthest corner of a last small worm territory that I happened to miss for hours.

No, as there will always be a lot of metal for scrap. What is the price of aluminium at your local scrapyard? That will give you an idea for the price floor.

VKB stick is what kept me playing for much longer since i lost interest. Pure joy of fine controls (and my progression is from ps4 controller to whatever hotas is available for it, then switched to PC and used X56, until finally got the VKB). Wish I had it back in the days when i really enjoyed the grind and mining was the thing.

For the OP - a pity you missed the targ war - that was a great opportunity for open play cooperation, to hone your piloting skills and a lot of pretty sights in maelstroms. It was also the closest thing we had for a campaign.

I wonder if Frontier has what it takes to do something of the same scale again. The game is still too niche to justify investment, and that is unfortunate.

I don't think there were downvotes, just me myself removing 1 upvote (as I am a shy person). I bought it at full price myself, and have no regrets.

Mint media centre (lemmy.world)

Hello world! I am seriously new to the world of linux (fleeing from windows after all the shit they are doing now), so please forgive my ignorance.

I have an old ThinkPad with Mint on it - installing it was about as far as I could get without training wheels. I'd like to use it as a media station with TV as a main screen. Where should I go to do so?

I need to operate it with an airmouse or wireless keyboard if i really have to, and my wife should be able to as well.

Some further requirements:

  • it should support a few subs we have, like Amazon, Netflix, Disney+ and maybe more in the future (I'd rather have less, but the family WANTS IT ALL!!!);

  • ideally it should switch on with that airmouse and load directly into that media shell without OS being visible.

  • the next step would be to have it access media on my old NAS and show it as a separate source. I think this should be easy enough, if the above works.

Ok, now shout at me with all your wisdom and tell me this is the wrong community to ask and I should google it all! ;)
