Well, that’s kind of the point. Poilievre changes his narrative with the tides. Old article, new article. He keeps changing his mind. “Woke Ideologies” Good. Women’s rights, good. Women's Rights: Bad. Education: Good. Education: Bad. Minimum wage: Good. Minimum wage: bad. His narrative is for votes. Just votes. He doesn’t really have a plan.
Nordic countries got it right. Free education, educated populace. It’s kind of like the hippie commune idea irl.
“woke” = empathy. The Nordic countries got it right. Free education. Their population is well educated. They understand that happiness does not mean wealth.
Is our sovereignty woke? Is our maternity/paternity leave woke? Is our education system woke? Are Canadian people’s rights woke?
Thank you. I completely agree with you, and this study. I was trying to find a “dumbed down” version.
If I could go back in time, I would have done everything I could to emigrate to Norway. The more I read about that country, the more I like it.
I expected that. But, is there specific statistics? Numbers? Graph? Pie Chart?
Has anyone ever looked at the education level of population voting for different parties? (I don’t know how to query statistics in an educated way)
“Never admit you are wrong”. This has become pervasive in everyday life. The phrases: “I was wrong”, “I stand corrected”, “point taken”, “mea culpa” are rarely heard anymore. So many dig in with nothing to back their argument, use the “fake news” BS, and/or just really become angry. What happened to reasonable discourse? Well, I guess it went out the window with science. It went out the window with critical thinking. It went out the window when representatives of our countries seem to get away with telling outright lies with no consequences. When social media is allowed to spread outright lies with no consequences. What a fucking shit show.
1984 was required reading when I was in high school in Canada.
How do you define “woke”?
