Ich verstehe dieses uralte Argument des "bereits versteuerten Geldes" einfach nicht. Es geht doch um den Kapital_ertrag_, sprich Geld das neu dazugekommen ist. Sollte die Anlage mal schlecht gelaufen sein, lässt sich das auch über Verlustvorträge steuerlich geltend machen.
Wieso soll denn bitte mit Zinsen erwirtschaftetes Geld nicht oder weniger als Geld aus tatsächlicher Arbeit versteuert werden?

Kind of a pet peeve of mine, but Tainted Love was originally performed in the 60s by Gloria Jones, a black soul singer. Considering the lyrics of the song, I think it could be interpreted as an interracial love affair, which adds a political dimension to the song that the Soft Cell version seems to lack. I would consider it to be some sort of cultural appropriation even if it's hard to define. In any case, it doesn't really sit right with me that Soft Cell and later Marylin Manson had all the artistic and financial success with it while Gloria Jones is mostly forgotten about. Don't get me wrong, I like all three versions (and there are quite some more even) in a vacuum, but I think it's worth pointing out this bit of background info.
While I don't want to deny that people try to put words into others mouths, I think context is still important. It is possible and even quite typical to send messages beyond the meaning of the actual words used in a statement and simply playing dumb when someone calls you out for doing that is also not a great look.
Think of going to a waffles-convention and just walking around claiming that you, in fact, like pancakes. Of course people are going to assume you're a troll.
It's important to think of different perspectives and at least consider if something you meant in a very innocent way might still not sit right with someone else. Certainly not easy to do, mistakes will always happen, but honestly trying makes a huge difference imo.

Wirklich schade, ich hoffe er findet irgendwann später den Weg zurück in die Politik. Zwar kam es mir so vor, als hätte er einiges von seinem früheren Idealismus eingebüßt, aber im Grunde halte ich ihn immer noch für einen progressiven Kopf, der auch den Willen und die Kompetenz hat Dinge anzupacken.
In der letzten Lanz-Sendung klang er schon sehr resigniert, als er festgestellt hat, dass die SPD keine Partei für Veränderung (mehr) ist. Mit ihm als Spitzenkandidat hätte man vielleicht mal wieder die Chance gehabt, sich in relevantem Maße von der Union abzugrenzen.
I might have made this up as well, but I have a very distinct memory of basically suddenly becoming conscious at around being 3 years old. I woke up from a nap and for a couple hours or possibly days, I wasn't sure whether I was dreaming or the world around me was actually real. After a couple of days of waking up in the same environment, I eventually accepted this to be reality. I of course don't remember everything from this point on in my life, but it really felt like the first time I was able to explicitly think about stuff.

It is certainly more relevant in for example hypothesis testing, since t-Tests (variance is estimated from the data) is much more common than z-tests (variance is treated as fixed and coming from a normal distribution).
In all of statistics or probability theory, the normal theory is however way more influential.

Hmm, ein bisschen kurz geraten, der Artikel. Menschen schätzen den Anteil bei Bevölkerungsgruppen bei Unsicherheit tendenziell zur Mitte hin, sprich 50%? Klingt für mich grundsätzlich nachvollziehbar, würde ich aber nicht als "Rechenfehler des Gehirns" bezeichnen, sondern eher als Zeichen von fehlender bzw. falscher Information. Wenn mich jemand fragt, ob eine zufällig gezogene Person ein bestimmtes Merkmal trägt, über das ich absolut nichts weiß, würde ich auch einfach ne Münze werfen.
Das heutzutage viel Fehlinformation kursiert wird ja kurz angesprochen, aber hier wird sich vermutlich eher der availability bias zunutze gemacht. Wenn man ständig was zu Ausländern/Migration mitbekommt, nimmt man die Sache "größer" (in welcher Hinsicht auch immer) wahr, als sie tatsächlich ist. Das die Ergebnisse, die hier berichtet werden, also alleine zu einer Entschärfung des Themas führen könnten, halte ich daher leider für fragwürdig.
