There isn't really any meaning or reason for it. History remembers a select few, but most people are not destined or expected to do anything more than live. I expect to be an unremarkable footnote that enjoyed a few comforts, built some furniture, and moderately positively influenced a small handful of people. I don't really have a set of grand aspirations, I just wanna do a few fun things for 30-50 more years (optimally).

For real. Coming to grips with the fact that more than half of the people around me (Midwest US) voted for this motherfucker to come back has been incredibly difficult. I do not trust my fellow Americans to do the right thing anymore. I no longer believe that most people are good. MAGA has fully exposed the selfish, rotten core of a hefty chunk of the populace.
Has OK ever had good news? It seems like every single thing I hear coming out of the state is corrupt police, ultra right wing government weirdness, fracking is poisoning everything, or this.
