För first part, its pathetically hard to find the directory and more over out a program shortcut so that it can immediately start at computer start in Linux because the directory is not existent and there is no exe shortcut equivalent in Linux to out in that directory

Secondly if you connect an HDD , it's instantly available to copy and to read FROM any and all apps in windows.this is very very hard in Linux , I connected externe HDD but I had do "mounting" to use it in media manager to even say save media here.

Apart from being trivial to these things in windows, there is some firing telling how to do it on their own distro usi g Terminal. I mean come on, who want to use terminal in 2026 as a regular user and for regular use.

Admit it Linux bros; Linux sux. Most celebrated- 4% market share for Linux os - is hardly any measure of usefulness and I doubt it will go beyond measly 5-7%. Until Linux stops , fix problems by Terminal, and be actually usefull.

Now do adding program to startup directory on atleast 5 windows modern version from xp to today to same with 5 different distros.

Also show the screen after attaching external HDD and trying to use it in ANY 5 softwares in windows xp and any 5 softwares on different Linux distros . Pathetically hard is word that comes wit mind.

Want to leave Reddit, but content is SEVERLY LACKING on Lemmy, and the thing that keeps me away from Lemmy is

  1. The people , who thinks Linux is god and anyone says anything else is pure evil/villain and act accordingly here in comments EVERYWHWRE
  2. same as above
  3. I can't figure out what are Lemmy sub parts and how to access them, till date I have I access to part of Lemmy shown to me via BOOST app, but apart from that I don't know

No I don't expect it to be. But you are the reason this platform sucks!

[–] Alborlin@lemmy.world 0 points 11 months ago (3 children)

Linux is useless in doing tasknsuch as trying to access hdd across entire system, putting program for startup

[–] Alborlin@lemmy.world -1 points 11 months ago (5 children)

Linux I un usable , it can't do simple things that end user wants

Because windows and Mac just works, without touching terminal for a single second! There is your .

[–] Alborlin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Don't forget the common use issues, where to put file for startup in different distros, attaching external drive being able to access in all and every Software without touching terminal, not too have to use terminal at all for ANYTHING IN 2025

IMPOSSIBLE! But shhhhhhh , we are on Lemmy if you say Linux sucks you will be negatively marked , cause Linux is the best /s , gained 4% market share and what not Linux for consumers SUCKS! NO matter the distro

Okay I agree, so let's start from Linux related any post, tell them if somebody asks a problem don't tell them just install mint , or how one is crazy because they are facing the problems in Linux or if you are not using Linux what idiot are you. I stopped participating because

  1. Linux dude bros are just idiots troubling me
  2. I can't find content which is though not niche is just is plain not news or Linux
  3. It's very confusing to use fedverse as I don't know of i can go all subs via my boost app or do i need something else , if so where to access them.

So let's make it ACCESSIBLE, NON DERAGORTY FOR ANON LINUX USERS ALSO

I wanted to install jackett and sonarr, they are complicated to use as is, moreover I am using Ubuntu. I am following fuidleine for installing jackett with STUPID command line making it EXTRA difficult. But now I have to change directory ownerships and what nots. I am the ONLY user on this machine. I want to own everything by default I am root I am admin I am user I am all. How do I make this happen instead of sending stupid commands all the time and making using Linux EASY. Before anyone getting on about Security I don't give 2centa about it .I just want to use and install and do whatever I wish.

How do I make this happen Forever, once inför all.
