Apparently she has invited Dutton to appear on the show, and he has refused. Albanese and Bandt both took her up on the offer.

Ultimately though, this seems to come down to the question: should new media like YouTube and Instagram be afforded the same legal rights as traditional media like TV and newspapers? To me, the answer is obvious: of course they should. If it's done in the name of news reporting, then it's news; the platform it's on should not matter.

If they can do this, I have no idea why going on a podcast or whatever it was requires some special clearance
