This is a Lemmy Community for perchance.org, a platform for sharing and creating random text generators.

Feel free to ask for help, share your generators, and start friendly discussions at your leisure :)

This community is mainly for discussions between those who are building generators. For discussions about using generators, especially the popular AI ones, the community-led Casual Perchance forum is likely a more appropriate venue.

To preface, this is on the Chrome mobile browser. I was looking through the summaries of a chat I have, and I noticed that one of them is entirely unrelated. It seems to be describing a completely different chat with completely different characters, none of which are mine. It used to be an accurate, relevant summary and now it isn't. Every other summary in that same chat is fine, it's just the one of them that's off. In other chats I have, the summaries are fine. Any idea how this might have happened, and whether it's fixable or not? If it is fixable, any suggestions for how to fix it?

What Perchance page are you using? Can you link it?

If you are using ai-character-chat, do you have other characters in the thread? If so, then summaries and memories would be generated based on the conversation in the thread, in which if there are other characters, then they would be included in the summary/memory.

Can you elaborate on how it is describing a different chat? e.g. One chat has X, Y, Z characters and the other chat is A,B,C characters. Does the summary in X,Y,Z's chat have A,B,C's? or If X is the main character, then the summary has Y and Z on it?

It's the nsfw one. It's just the one character, the user, and the narrator. The first five summaries are normal, the sixth is off, and then the last three are normal. The sixth summary describes just a completely different setting, scenario, characters, everything. It's as though it's a summary from a totally different chat or something. It's got four characters that aren't mine at all—not in this specific chat, nor in any other chat I have. For example, if my chat has character Alice and user Bob, then the sixth summary has characters Carl, Dave, Emily, and Frank. They're completely out of nowhere. If I scroll all the way back to the top of the chat and search for the names of the characters in the sixth summary, they're not there. The chat is the same as it was, it's not like any of it changed, it's just that one summary.

Yes, just that. Are you also able to export the chat data itself and share it (via DM if you want) so I can check the data. It seems to be that ai-nsfw is a fork of the ai-character-chat that is 5 months behind the recent update of ai-character-chat so I would recommend using the main for the future.
