Good catch, I am always a bit hesitant to post stuff from wccftech. This article seemed rather uncontroversial and meaningful.

I was under the impression Intel had the only non research 2um fab?

It takes 12+ months to get one running, and Intel had theirs delivered about that time ago.

Could also be production, even if it's not production the early batches might relatively modest in size.
