Shell company owned by United States gov buys 23andMe. Now you have family history records for a ton of people. Deportations tick up and from places you won't think of.

The problematic thing with genetic data is that it isn't just about your own choice. If one person gives away their information, then that also allows to draw conclusions about their relatives.

Reminder that you can download and save your data locally then revoke your consent agreements and delete your data. Who knows if it will actually be deleted though.

(Also revoke your consent to store your sample if you allowed that)
