Saw a thread discussing the varieties of frozen pizza and it made me glad I make my own.

The pizza pictured is 16", costs about $2.75 to make and serves 2 people comfortably. Oh, and taste? There's really no comparison.

The only real barrier to anybody making pizza like this is just the willingness to practice. It does take a while to get it down, but once you do it's like second nature - and so worth it!

Nice! If appearance is anywhere close to the taste, I should stop chewing on my phone...

Yeah, it's a bit lopsided too, was thicker on one side than the other, but really except for some parts of the crust it wasn't too thick:

So how do you make this? Bake - freeze - bake again? Looks great, do you use a pizza oven?

Thanks!

I make the dough fresh always, it's not hard at all if you have a stand mixer - most of the time making it is spent letting it rest/rise. I make the sauce fresh also, but the San Marzano tomatoes I use come in 28oz cans and makes enough for about 4 pizzas, so I usually make 1 and then freeze the rest of the sauce in packets for my next 3.

I don't have a pizza oven, this was made in my home oven at 550F on a pizza stone.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you somehow made frozen pizza at home. Thanks for the info, it looks amazing.

My problem has always been having the room to make the crust. It's a pain and messy. I just throw a ton of extra pepperoni on a frozen pizza, easy peasy.

Yeah, I get where you're coming from, but there's just no comparison on taste and price. Twice the amount of pizza for half the price and it's genuinely 200% better tasting, imo. Definitely more hassle, but I'll take the hassle for the tradeoff.
