Why is the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Second Lord of the Treasury having to build corporate relationships by accepting bribes in the first place?

I understand it's a very mild bribe in the grand scheme of things, but it's still free goods and services in the hope of getting something in return that they wouldn't normally. A bribe.

She has a 12-13 year old daughter. What are the odds she accepted the tickets so her kid could see the show? It's grossly inappropriate for her to have done so but I'd expect that's the more likely motivation.

We had somewhat similar issues around ethics in the current government where I'm from and one thing the ethics committee manager had to remind the MPs is that even if something isn't an ethics violation, the appearance of ethics violation is still damaging the trust people have in the people they elect.

Some say her mother was a teenage witch and that her father lived in Nazareth 2000 years ago....
All we do know is, that some people call her The Stig.

She's a popular pop artist. This is just a continuation of the freebies scandal from a few months ago, though The National probably published this because of how it looks when you're pushing billions in cuts to disability benefits.

According to multiple sources, Reeves earns ~£150K a year. After taxes that'll work out to ~£80-90K a year, which should work out at about £6500-7500 a month.

Openly accepting bribes is terrible enough, but when you're in the top 10% of wages in the country, it's so much worse.

"Because she's a woman, she cannot be bribed."

Nice try.
