Fucking finally. The church wringing it hands and playing at "compassion for everyone involved" including the child rapist, the fact that decades earlier after she tried to get her therapy bills covered the church threatened to counter sue her for "seducing" him and when confronted with that last year the lawyer claimed "I didn't realize she was 12" even though it was explicitly in the initial letter her old lawyer sent, the fact he admitted to "indecency with a young lady" as a cornerstone story about his faith for 40 years, to the point where people knew it was one of his stock sermons, but never ever said she was 12 and he was in his 20s, or the absolute bullshit when he said in his defense that he had taken 2 years off from preaching and been redeemed, including getting her fathers blessing to resume. Her father did no such thing, and was unaware of the abuse at all.

The absolute number of "well meaning" motherfuckers in this story trying to save their child rapist pastor was unreal, but it was bouying that some of the congregants started protesting at the main church when this news broke, and some staff quit. The church finally got it head slightly more on straight and and "accepted his resignation." His son and step daughter were set to take over before the news broke, but were also asked to leave. Last i heard they hired a law firm to investigate themselves, but only for a couple specific years. I expect that was just ass covering, but its damn fine to see at least some actual legal action happen.

Bob Morris - that's a shock. I guess they got tired of covering for him.
