Why was Twitter provoking Ukraine into attacking them?

[–] [email protected] 87 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Ukrainian speakers are being mistreated on X, it must be invaded!

[–] [email protected] 84 points 1 month ago (1 children)

We need to de-nazify X.

Oh, wait, that's actually true.

It would be a ghost town once that happens

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Already is though. Just zombies, ghouls and vampires roam there.

And bots. Lots of bots. Russian bots, Chinese bots, just random AI bots that make look Xitter a little bit less dead.

Sort of a Wolfenstein setup?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That would be a cause for celebration!

They'd better fucking say thanks

I thought it was hilarious that right after trump criticized Zelenskyy for not wearing a suit and everyone then making fun of trump for letting Elon wear a t-shirt, Elon is now wearing a suit and tie.

They are just doing "what anybody would do."

Can someone please denazify Twitter. Starting from the top.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Sorry best I can do is bring the whole site down.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 month ago

I'll take it

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 month ago

Yes, actually. If you want a temporary popular solution then Bluesky. If you want a permanent but unpopular solution then Mastodon.

Didn't Anonymous claim credit for the attack? Why are the people in this thread treating this Ukraine-blaming nonsense with even the minimal credence necessary to mock it?

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Ukranians can be Anonymous if they're anonymous enough.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 month ago

But then they stop being known to be Ukrainian. Anonymous isn't "from" anywhere except "behind seven proxies;" that's kinda the point.

If the claim was that Xitter got attacked by Anonymous and then the Anonymous group got unmasked as being made of a bunch of Ukrainians that'd be one thing, but that isn't what's going on here. Instead, it's just Musk blatantly lying to manufacture yet another libelous false grievance against Ukraine, and we shouldn't even be entertaining it as a possibility.

X was asking for it. They shouldn't have dressed so sexy

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 month ago

The little bitch better wear a suit while he does it, too.

List of things I thank twitter for:

[–] [email protected] -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

At least they are winning in Twitter.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I bet that's comforting for all the russian soldiers that are getting personalized bombs dropped on their heads via drone.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

And any North Koreans who failed to commit suicide.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Last time I checked, there were three lethal victims in the Moscow attacks. Even the NY Times reports them as "people", not soldiers.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Compared to Ukranian civilian casualties at the hands of the Russians, it's a rounding error.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

I’m sure the children’s hospitals in Ukraine were only filled with nothing but soldiers, right?

Are you? I don't know. My comment is just about how Twitter propaganda is not the real war.
