Ooh, you’ve found the rare and coveted red shirt Nicole. You’re truly one of us now.

[–] Banana@sh.itjust.works 11 points 11 months ago (2 children)

They gonna be like PokΓ©mon cards now?

[–] CCatMan@lemmy.one 7 points 11 months ago

I have this red one and a white shirt from 3w ago in my inbox. Got to get them all.

[–] chaosCruiser@futurology.today 4 points 11 months ago

Yes. I’ve already got two variations of the white shirt Nicole.

[–] Naich@lemmings.world 19 points 11 months ago (2 children)

You have been blessed by the patron saint of Lemmy. Say 3 hail Nicoles.

[–] Bort@sh.itjust.works 5 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Hail Nicole Hail Nicole Hail Nicole

[–] interdimensionalmeme@lemmy.ml 3 points 11 months ago

My heart goes out to Nicole

[–] Lazycog@sopuli.xyz 5 points 11 months ago

Might get a rare nicole if you do that

[–] Famko@lemmy.world 19 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I wonder whether the person in the photo will ever find out that she became an internet microcelebrity here.

[–] Bort@sh.itjust.works 16 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

What do you mean? This is Nicole, Fediverse Chick.

[–] hankskyjames777@thebrainbin.org 17 points 11 months ago (1 children)
[–] asudox@lemmy.asudox.dev 10 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) (1 children)

I can imagine someone creating a community as a fanclub for her.

Edit: oh, that community does exist. For some reason my instance can't find it.

Edit 2: It's !nicole@feddit.org. You added a d

[–] hankskyjames777@thebrainbin.org 3 points 11 months ago

Alright, just edited it

[–] MrNesser@lemmy.world 12 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Are we taking this and making it a Lemmy thing?

[–] Bort@sh.itjust.works 4 points 11 months ago

It seems like a good place to start.

[–] Sonor@lemmy.world 11 points 11 months ago (3 children)

You guys make me feel like i’m missing out :(

[–] Bort@sh.itjust.works 10 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Your time will come. Patience, my young padawan.

[–] Sonor@lemmy.world 6 points 11 months ago

But what if she finds the one before she finds me? :(

[–] TimboSlice@discuss.online 1 points 11 months ago

I've had two accounts for a while and just now got this pic. Just wait.

You stay the he'll away from my Lemmy waifu

[–] MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz 8 points 11 months ago

I woke up to three Nicoles from three different accounts, once.

[–] Gigameister@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago (3 children)

I got that immediatly after I joined and blocked it from bot behaviour.

Is this a known meme arround here?

[–] asudox@lemmy.asudox.dev 11 points 11 months ago

It's made into a meme, but it is real spam. Nobody really knows why the person behind it does it.

[–] Lazycog@sopuli.xyz 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Yes, I believe this is the first scam/spam-to-private-mail bot that reached such a wide audience. On lemmy at least.

Been going on for quite a while now, but it's difficult to block permanently since there are so many instances where they can make an account. Until they've used up all the nicole+instance domain names lol.

[–] MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz 4 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Unfortunately started seeing some with just a random string for the username. The display name can still be "Nicole".

[–] Lazycog@sopuli.xyz 3 points 11 months ago

Ah shit I forgot about "display name" since I've been using voyager app...

[–] Bort@sh.itjust.works 2 points 11 months ago

I only joined a couple of days ago and have seen Nicole many times already. So I don't know, but feels like it to me πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

[–] fraksken@infosec.pub 5 points 11 months ago

I wonder what the actual drive is for these messages. Phishing?

[–] curbstickle@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 11 months ago

Thats pretty quickI have a few accounts, and only received this particular spam twice in a few years of Lemmy.

[–] Sat@lemmynsfw.com 5 points 11 months ago

How do I delete it? If I try, I get an error saying system messages cannot be deleted...

[–] sundrei@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 11 months ago

She's on a roll!

[–] Ilovethebomb@lemm.ee 4 points 11 months ago (2 children)

This has been bugging me for a while now, what is that in front of her?

It looks like a bong, but I don't know enough about drugs to be sure.

[–] Bort@sh.itjust.works 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It's not a bong its a vase

[–] SpicyLizards@reddthat.com 3 points 11 months ago

A vase that's used for 'incense'

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)
[–] RomeCallen@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

That's 100% what it is

[–] nebulaone@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)
