- Link to the community using the universal format: !communitypromo@lemmy.ca
- Add an image or icon to your post
While you can still ask about communities that you are looking for, we recommend that you:
- Post in !lemmy411@lemmy.ca (not limited to Lemmy communities)
- Check out this guide: How to Find Communities (fedecan.ca)

Since you're a brand new account, you might not know how problematic their admin is.
If they see you pointing it out, or really mentioning anything negative about that instance, they'll ban you.
For that reason a lot of communities have been leaving that instance, so starting a new one there is signing up for that.
You're also almost guaranteed to get a bunch of trolls who will manipulate that admin into doing a lot of dumb shit in any community over there.
If youre ok with a lot of questionable overreach by admins, go for it. But you'll have more autonomy as a mod literally anywhere else
