I never really mention it. Always kind of enjoyed seeing it grow naturally. But we hit 500 subs a few months ago and with another exodus on our hands I thought it better to ensure people are aware there's a spot if you find something worthwhile with no obvious place for it to go.

If you can't find the community you're looking for and don't feel up to making it yourself, please, feel welcome to post, you just might find your audience.

I like that one of the first things I see is The UX of LEGO Interface Panels - you've got yourself another subscriber!

Mate I'm new to lemmy... it shows as no users or posts is that normal?

Probably? As I understand you won't see anything on a community until someone on your instance subscribes, when the instance refreshes it'll load the new content

Many popular instances [automate it with this tool] (https://lemmy-federate.com/)

If you're the first user on your instance to subscribe there, then yes. Check back later and see if the posts made it over. Also, maybe see if your admin would like to participate in the Lemmy Federate tool so that new remote communities are connected automatically.

Edit: also, welcome! There's little things to get used to but soon you won't think about it. Any other questions so far?

That's great thanks! I really like it here everyone's so friendly it's like the olden days on reddit. I'm getting the hang of it faster than I thought!

I have been full-time here for a couple years now and this and rang true the entire time.
