Boycott US

Overview:

The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.

Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.

America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.

America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

Slowly moving services away from the US. Went with Fastmail, which I used before. Was reading their privacy page only to find out they're hosted in the US, even though they're an Australian service.

Thanks for this. I’ll be moving to Mailbox.org (in Germany)

I don't want to influence you but take your time and compare every other option. Mailbox is the clunkiest and ugliest UI I've ever seen. Their 2FA feels like a dirty hack too. I'm sure they're good technically though.

They support IMAP, right? That’s really all I need.

I recommend Posteo. They are German and run on German servers using open-source software. Also highly affordable with numerous payment methods.

Been with them for years and have zero complaints.

The lack of details about the second facility is unintentionally funny, leading to the assumption it has none of what the PHL facility does and is in a den of thieves underwater running on gerbil wheel power.

Looks like posteo mail is for me!

God damn it. It's the best provider I found that has all the features I want. Now I don't know where to move...

They always have been. The passwords to those servers are keht in austrillia so there isn't much that being in the us means other than physical access vulnerabilities

Although I am not an expert in this field, I believe that a law or an executive order could be passed requiring that if an external entity (Fastmail) wishes to engage in business with a US entity (server provider), end-to-end encryption must be enabled with a backdoor.

Additionally, when an individual pays Fastmail, they are essentially making payment to the server provider located in the United States.

Evecutive orders are not law and mean nothing if you do not work for the government.

backdoors are wanted by some but just down the hall are those who are supposed to protect americans and they oppose them.
