Cats just literally want to be able to have the option to be involved in the going-ons around them. They just like hanging out. It makes them happy.

During the pan, I placed a short box on my desk and one of my cats slept in it every day while I'd wfh. When moving, I got a new desk that wouldn't work as well with a box, so I bought her a tall chair and placed the box there. She sleeps in it next to me. The other kitty lies on top of a closed box at the base of the chair.

I'm glad this little furball gets the respect of a dedicated chair.
