I tried to do this but the submit button was greyed out
You have to type the correct name before you can submit
At least they don’t even mention it in other countries (unlike google maps). Here’s what it looks like in Germany:
But yeah, still quite spineless.
Edit: Nevermind, just read they will adjust it globally as well which is ridiculously stupid.
At least Google maps has gulf of Mexico first and the the new name in brackets, kinda like how Londonderry has both that and Derry as it's name.

Still shows Gulf of Mexico in New Zealand, at least for now.
And Australia too.
Honestly, I'm more concerned about other stuff Cook has done to Apple, like taking away the headphone jack, making repairs impossible, essentially shutting down 3rd-party repair shops, etc.
And now Apple is resuming advertising on X...
