A NSW Health review has recommended the state government consider changing abortion legislation so more health practitioners could prescribe MS-2 Step.

It also recommended the health ministry explore ways to "increase understanding" of the rights and obligations of practitioners with a conscientious objection to the practice.

What's next?

A spokesperson for NSW Health Minister Ryan Park says the government will consider the review's recommendations.
