What is a Tankie?

Revisionism — No downplaying or denying atrocities past and present. Calling Tankies shills, foreign/federal agents, or bots also falls under this rule. Extremists exist. They are real. Do not call them shills or fake users as it handwaves their extremism.
Tankies can explain their views but may be criticised or attacked for them. Any slight infraction on the rules above will immediately earn a warning and possibly a ban.

Ah, yes, left far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy, opposed to anarchism, democracy, pluralism, egalitarianism, liberalism, socialism, and Marxism.
Why does everything have to be tied to fascism? Cant there just be a bad ideology independent of fascism?
I call it authoritarianism, which covers a variety of ideologies.
Anything north of that top horizontal line is off limits, and I'm personally somewhere in the vast sea of libertarianism, occasionally nudging up into liberalism.
i think human political philosophy is a little more complex than a 2 dimensional set of axis.
