Wasn't this the plot of a book?

For those worried this research would be lost, it has apparently already been saved as part of a bulk archive by an r/DataHoarder user.

That's good. We should all seed the torrent.

Good idea, I'll try to get a torrent client working on my Raspberry Pi for these types of documents.

Edit: Set up qBitTorrent and am downloading and then seeding it. Thanks for the tip! According to a reviewer, you want to use this link instead, because the autogenerated one has some missing files?

Subject: Use full-20250128-cdc-datasets-USETHIS.torrent file in the file list

If you're seeding made sure to use the torrent file named "full-20250128-cdc-datasets-USETHIS.torrent" instead of IA's auto-generated one. The auto-gen one is missing files and a bit buggy.

I am begging anyone on this sub, begging. Help me get FEMA data. It is just as vital. Please.

Would the journals be under any obligation to accept these bad-faith revisions or retractions?

[–] Midnitte@beehaw.org 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

The for-profit journals that are asking for more money, your asking what might motivate them?

[–] notabot@lemm.ee 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

They already have the money for the original paper, do they charge for retractions? I don't know, but I'd assumed not.

[–] Midnitte@beehaw.org 2 points 10 months ago

I'm sure they'd love to charge more for retractions.
