I trust Google with my data way more than I trust any Chinese based company. If Daddy Xi asks for a Chinese company's data, he gets that company's data. I would even trust Meta or X with my data more, and I have roughly zero trust with Meta/X.

Sounds like you need to learn to mask your data then, can't steal anything if it's all obfuscated. And I stand to my point, after spending the past 4 days just chatting with regular Chinese folk a lot of things I've heard over here just stopped making sense.

Believe it or not, they're regular people too (Crazy I know) And no matter what your stance is on it, it's undeniable the US govt has a massive hate boner for both China and Russia, and has a vested interest in shit talking them, the people I'm talking to are coming to the same realization that Americans aren't all rich and greedy, and that kind of cultural exchange is priceless and infinitely wholesome.

who knows I may try to break into the Russian internet sphere next and see what else I'm missing out on.

Apple is doing something good here regardless of what you feel about tiktok. Don't bend over backwards to do what Trump might want or demands without legal backing. Make the administration force you every step of the way
