The article seems to tout the greatness of BCH's 32MB block size compared to BTC's 1MB block size and implies that because of the 32MB block size, BCH is more agile and adaptable with respect to many crypto related issues, including quantum computing threats.

This is correct. Advanced cryptography will most likely take up more block space so BCH is positioned to handle it. As well as having advanced smart contract capability allowing for cryptographic constructions to be tested on the live chain long before QC is an imminent threat. BCH devs have put in significant forethought and planning into the design of the blockchain.
