What is laser in this context

Hair removal, but alternative interpretations may also be valid

laser hair removal involves blasting a small radius with intense light, which burns the hair follicles (the idea is that the dark follicles absorb more light and thus more heat, so you can burn the follicle without burning the skin around it; it works better for people with dark hair and light skin, of course).

I'm assuming a hair removal laser, but I may be incorrect. Perhaps this person is a fan of laser bowling. We may never know.

I suppose it could also be a laser pointer

transcats underrated

Funny, I get paranoid each session that laser is a dud because I don't get the symptoms everyone else talks about; maybe a bit of redness for an hour or so. But it's definitely working. Guess I'm just lucky? Or pale?
