I think that change is hilarious because in reality, some lawyer or middle-manager probably just looked at that and went "this is stupid and unprofessional, it shouldn't be in an official statement" and took it out.

But it's so much funnier to think that Google top brass were like

Yessssss... with this one change, we can do whatever we want and no one can stop us!

No, I am unfortunately a meme thief and should not be allowed in your chat servers.

My guess is that it was made by the person who listed themselves as the author. It's a mastodon username there.

It’s a mastodon username there

Good lead; I found it: This meme is by @sirobsidian@fosstodon.org, based on a toot by @aeva@mastodon.gamedev.place.

Thanks for sharing it!

Thanks! That explains why I wasn't able to find the original when I just looked for the name. Great detective work!

If you change Chrome to Windows and Firefox to Linux the quote in the article sums me up perfectly.

Yet another reason to hate tabs

By what definition is this a meme?

[–] MindTraveller@lemmy.ca 20 points 1 year ago (1 children)

A meme is a self replicating idea subject to evolutionary pressures.

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

By that definition, every single post is a meme. May as well call the community "posts"

Try asking Dawkins.
