Hello @QuentinCallaghan@sopuli.xyz

FYI, there was a similar issue on lemmy.cafe, and @Illecors@lemmy.cafe was able to cherry pick the update from the Lemmy codebase.

Details: https://sopuli.xyz/post/21465114/14072532

@QuentinCallaghan@sopuli.xyz if you don't want to bother with building the image as well as trust my image (you probably shouldn't) - it should be publicly available as illecors/lemmy:0.19.8-1-lemmy.cafe

Thank you for the information! I think I'll wait for the next official release.

Sounds good!

theory: it is related to cloudflare blocking cross instance access … lemmy.world images do not load for me: and they use cloudflare, idk if the others I can not view use cloudflare as well.

Automatic cross instance fetching might be interpreted as botnet activity.

It's hard to say what is the cause, I rebooted Sopuli but of course it doesn't solve the issue. Could it have something to do with how images are processed here? Every image uploaded here is converted to WebP, while the picture in question is in JPEG format.

Hey, are you using image proxying? I've had no end of issues with it

[–] QuentinCallaghan@sopuli.xyz 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

No, it isn't used. Just read about that feature of having been implemented in Lemmy 0.19.4, albeit it's experimental.

We do the same with converting everything to webp, so i don't think it's that. I'd be happy to share my pictrs config with you on matrix?

Do you see any errors in your pictrs logs too?

[–] QuentinCallaghan@sopuli.xyz 2 points 3 months ago

Checked the logs for 500 lines or so, looks like there was no error messages. Yeah, DM me on Matrix!

Thank you for having a look.

Not sure to be honest, the weird thing is that other instances display them correctly.

Hello @Demigodrick@lemmy.zip , could you maybe help?

Thanks Blaze!
