If ya'll wanna conserve anything it should start with your knowledge of history cause its piss poor. But you know that, deep down you know where this road goes and you want it. ? Why decry gun ownership now? I thought the conservative party was about small government, fiscal responsibility, and the 2nd amendment?
I'm not decrying this. Even if it's over baseless fears, this is a VERY good thing.
Sure doesn't seem baseless. There's still a lot of anti-LGBTQ violence in the USA, and trans folks especially have been targeted at a federal level. Wouldn't blame 'em for wearing a plate or carrying a pack with a plate while they're armed

Same. I'd love to see some bipartisan gun clubs or a bipartisan pro gun movement come out of this, but I feel like leftists are to scared of right wing gun nuts to let that happen.
I third it. More people with guns means the politicians will have a harder time passing gun control.
It goes deeper than that. Trump isn't going to go after trans people...but someone else might. Guns are the greatest hedge against authoritarianism and fascism.
