How does it inspire hope?

I never had positive experience on a family dinner. How can I be hopeful about them?

This post may not be for you :/

Even if I had that memory the meme itself doesn't inspire hope. The feeling that it represents isn't hope. It's nostalgia for love and warmth. There is nothing in here that represents looking forward for the future. I don't think that it fits into this community.

I wonder if perhaps it was a positive experience for OP and they hope to be able to provide the same for their future family. Just a guess though.

Neither did I but I’m hopeful that if people have experienced that they’re going to raise more kids who experience that and so on. It’s a hope for humanity, not for me personally.

One time my grandmother forgot to make mashed potatoes for dinner, and my grandfather put a shotgun to her head in front of their kids
