I really dont get it.... So much of the fediverse aligns with bitcoin principles. Where are all my bitcoiners at?

Turned off by Musk and its role in financing terrorism and the invasion of Ukraine, not to mention all the scams surrounding other crypto.
That it's also used for resistance groups fighting juntas in Myanmar and such often gets lost in the shuffle.
Plus pretty much everyone here are doomers on some level and figure that the Collapse is incoming, and quite frankly if I was trying to preserve value for that I'd be stockpiling things that don't need an electrical grid.
Why do these commenters even join this community?
I didn't look for it, but maybe there's no buttcoin in Lemmy so they're here instead?

Lol, i've been looking for a chance to get rid of my shitcoins.
But i'm more and more convinced that alt season is a lie. Saylor was right. "THERE IS NO SECOND BEST!"
I'm pretty leftist in most of my views, and I'm all for a money system that doesn't favor the rich and treats everyone equally. I think what it boils down to is people just haven't taken the time to understand what it means to have a fair, decentralized money.
Then you have all the shitcoin alts (imo, that's any crypto that isn't decentralized and therefore relies on trusting corporation of some sort), Elon and the Orange Dipshit who have become associated with crypto scamming in general. None of it matters tho... BTC is world-wide and is above ideological politics. It won't go away and it will just continue to grow and thrive because it does what it does perfectly. The masses will figure it out sooner or later.

We all hate the system here and believe it or not your obfuscated token to get rich quickly is a part of the system.
The lemmyverse is mostly leftist, anti private property, and pro redistributing wealth through a massive bureaucracy. There's not much overlap between that and bitcoin.
