Here's where to go instead:
- Help with packaging and submissions: the Flathub Matrix channel, or the Flatpak channel for questions about Flatpak itself.
That's a real downgrade since a matrix chat is way less searchable than a forum, so if a problem was solved for one person, others can't really benefit from it.
Discourse is especially neat in that when you start typing a post, it automatically searches the title of your post and shows you recommendations. Here is an example from Incus' forums:
This is probably very, very useful and cuts down a lot on duplicate questions. But Matrix doesn't have anything like that, which probably causes more burdens on people answering questions.
