I can hear my wife howling in the other room after sending this so I think I just gave her a new joke lmao

Community Rules
You must post before you leave
Be nice. Assume others have good intent (within reason).
Block or ignore posts, comments, and users that irritate you in some way rather than engaging. Report if they are actually breaking community rules.
Use content warnings and/or mark as NSFW when appropriate. Most posts with content warnings likely need to be marked NSFW.
Most 196 posts are memes, shitposts, cute images, or even just recent things that happened, etc. There is no real theme, but try to avoid posts that are very inflammatory, offensive, very low quality, or very "off topic".
Bigotry is not allowed, this includes (but is not limited to): Homophobia, Transphobia, Racism, Sexism, Abelism, Classism, or discrimination based on things like Ethnicity, Nationality, Language, or Religion.
Avoid shilling for corporations, posting advertisements, or promoting exploitation of workers.
Proselytization, support, or defense of authoritarianism is not welcome. This includes but is not limited to: imperialism, nationalism, genocide denial, ethnic or racial supremacy, fascism, Nazism, Marxism-Leninism, Maoism, etc.
Avoid AI generated content.

Moderator Guidelines
Moderator Guidelines
- Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
- Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
- When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
- Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
- Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
- Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
- Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
- Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
- Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
- Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
- Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
- Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
- First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
- Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
- No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
- Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
- Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
"Hokay so"
must always be followed by
"here's the earth".
Such is the law.

That is so something I would do...
...if I wasn't single
Thing colouring page, if anyone's interested. Sorry for the slop. I just happened to have this on my phone.
:[gross AI slop body horror involving paw patrol characters]

I don't know what's more disgusting here; the body horror, the slop, or the canine cops. Either way, this should probably be spoiler tagged with a content warning
Technically, only Chase is a cop, the others have other jobs. But Bluey is the far more superior cartoon with talking dogs. There's no set formula and the only cop I recall is the one that gave Frisky a speeding ticket about ten minutes ago near the juice shop.
My kids daycare uses a lot of ai colouring pages. I was planning on slipping a few of these into the stack. Kids love paw patrol, so I'm sure they would be popular.
I guess I should reiterate: this is an image of NSFW body horror in a non NSFW thread, and thus I'd greatly appreciate if you spoiler tag it like so (without the / of course):
/[Content warning about body horror here]
the image
Ok, done. Although I personally don't think there's anything nsfw about it.
While it doesn't faze me personally, I know a lot of people struggle with this stuff and absolutely refuse to engage with it. The original dog scene certainly made me uncomfortable when I was younger
Fair enough
How do they know it’s The Thing without being able to do the blood test though?
I have learned a new behavior to perform in lieu of having a personality.
Isn't that all personalities are anyway
This reminds me of a dumb thing I do:
I go "well, you know what they say", and then don't say anything else.
Nobody but me has ever thought it was funny, but I get so much joy from it.
I love stuff like that. "You miss 100% of the shots you take" is one of my favourites
I'm running around like a chicken with my legs cut off.

I do this, but if they ask "what do they say?" back you have to make something up & try to convince them it's a real saying
Now here's a man who needs no introduction
I find this hilarious. Even more so if during the silence they ask me to elaborate and I mumble a completely irrelevant idiom.
Start saying the idioms wrong to spice it up
I have done that! Usually I just go, "what?"
Like they are weird for asking me.
I 100% do this all the time and I think its hilarious
Whenever we pass Miramira jewelry store one of us always says "Mira mira..." (translates pretty much to "would you look at that...") to get the other one to look.

I’d be tempted to say “miramira on the wall” but idk if that’s how its pronounced
Do you know the "gatocitos" Lady? She always starts her videos with "mira mira" 🤣

Beautiful accent :)
¡Señor de la Noche! 😄
So, here's The Thing

No, here's the Thing

In the Marvel Rivals game, when they added the Fantastic Four .. there were people that kept saying things like,
"You guys played a good match, but here's the Thing"

The blue-eyed ever lovin Thing from Yancy Street!
I’ve had worse boyfriends
Okay, but why won’t anyone answer my question:
What’s this four?
lol I’m gonna start doing this
He's a keeper for sure 😄
Oh, this is perfect because it's actually just like two posts down on my all feed from the poster of the thing.
