I feel like he's just trying to see how much abuse he can get away with throwing at them, while they clap for more.

Friends, I don't have the heart to look this up. Is this for real? Real as with the recent "If I say something stupid you'll clap" comment?

Can we have a rule that anything with a trump quote needs to be tagged [REAL] or [SATIRE], because it's really impossible to tell these days.

It is real. I searched just the first few sentences and found the video on Instagram (and couldn't view it unless I was in the app) and x (which I was able to view but I'm not going to link it). As far as I can tell, it happened today

Thank you for taking the time to confirm. It's incredible.

But Obama wore a tan suit

And still people pretend the situation isn't completely dystopian

"It seems like they also ran out of red carpet for me. You all are wearing red caps, so lay down while I walk on your heads to my armored limo where I'm going to fuck your children and steal your tax money. Clap while I crush your heads."

"Wooo! Yeah! MAGA 2028!!"

I'm not a Trump supporter, but I watched the video and he actually talks about this being protocol and that he asks them to help other people, but they won't do it.

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 days ago

he says he 'asks' them... knowing full well the 'protocol' will not allow them to even if so directed by the 'president'. so, the whole 'asks' thing is bullshit in a spray bottle he's using on himself to try to look like a hero denied his moment of glory.

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

If that is even true, that's still fucked for any number of reason. Not the least of which is that he "travels with doctors", plural. Bro has to have a team of MDs on standby at all times. That cannot be the standard protocol for all Presidents. This is the protocol that his health issues have demanded. And he is advertising it.

And also he is weirdly telling his audience that some dude looks so unhealthy Trump thinks he's on the verge of a heart attack, and if it happened, he, the most powerful man in America, if not the world, with a team of doctors on standby, couldn't (or more likely wouldn't) do a fucking thing about it.

Yes its still typical Trump off-beatness. But I could actually imagine, that its normal protocol, the Americans keep their president pretty safe. They are prepared to do different complex procedures immediately at any time, its probably 6 kinda different doctors with different specialities, so they can treat the president immediately in 80% of cases or something

Cool. So he still didn't say anything actually helpful or intelligent?

[–] Magnum@infosec.pub 7 points 3 days ago

No not really, but its additional context contradicts the framing as if its what he wanted it to be - I mean I'm sure he doesn't give a single fuck, but its not like he said it, he actually said kinda the opposite

[–] tea_n_typewriters@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

That’d be the article I’d be shocked by.

[–] Linktank@lemmy.today 1 points 3 days ago

Yeah... Sure.
