My only concession to the weather so far is I've started making soup again.

I am actually enjoying the colder temperatures. Warm weather makes me miserable and thanks to it I'm feeling ill for at least 6 months each year. Sitting on the balcony right now, only wearing my pyjamas.

Everyone has been calling me insane for still wearing a tshirt but autumn temps are so nice and I am not throwing them away by putting a jumper on

You look familiar... are you Spez?

[–] AbsolutelyNotSpez@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

Totally not!

It was 20°C outside with clear skies before sunrise. It's October.

I'm beginning to think those climate scientists were onto something.

Nope, still have our windows open at night, and wearing shorts today!

[–] ohulancutash@feddit.uk 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I’ve been shorts exclusive for years. Don’t even own trousers now.

Are you a postie? Or a disciple of Adam Buxton?

[–] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 4 points 3 days ago

I am both in awe and horrified

[–] Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk 8 points 3 days ago

No, but I've stopped wearing shorts every day.

I don't turn mine on, it's set to come on when the indoor temperature drops below 17.5⁰ C in dayrime. It's been coming on some mornings for a couple of weeks, and one day when it was particularly cold it came on a couple of times in the day too. I do live in the North of England, further north than parts of Scotland though.

[–] essell@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Nah, I almost opened the bedroom window last night.

Still keeping the back door open in the daytime.

Thermostat has turned on a couple of times briefly. Gave us a chance to make sure the boiler was working and bleed the radiators before the cold really sets in.

Still feels quite mild out to me, just getting gloomier.

[–] tetris11@feddit.uk 3 points 3 days ago

I want to but one of my radiators is loose and I need to drain it and reseat the connection. So Im wearing ski socks and christmas sweaters a lot

[–] Skua@kbin.earth 2 points 2 days ago

Fuck no mate I've barely started wearing jackets outside again

[–] anothermember@feddit.uk 3 points 3 days ago

Not me yet, I'm trying to wait until the clocks go back but next weekend looks quite cold so it might be then.

[–] slazer2au@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Had to put it on this morning because of the baby.

[–] ohulancutash@feddit.uk 3 points 3 days ago

When spider season fades into burnt dust smell season

[–] not_woody_shaw@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Yeah, but I've not seen the thermostat kick in yet.

[–] Technoworcester@feddit.uk 1 points 2 days ago

Yup. Also heated dust stinks.

[–] manualoverride@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

I’ll tell you the same as I tell the Mrs. It’s not Christmas yet!

For 2 days but I've already turned it off again as it's now warmed up again

Where's the post body tho

  • complains about missing content.
  • doesn't spell all the letters in 'though'.
