So my Lenovo think center is becoming quite full this day. I already have a two Harddrive docking station with 2 Tera disk getting pretty full and the other USB port is connected to a Tera SSD.

So what are my options, other than selling one of my arm to buy one of the new 250T ?

look used. datacenter drives get phased out long before their useful life. some even still have warranties.

i stacked 6x4TB in a thinkcenter before jumping to 4x22TB

I find it gives me some ability to plan.

Either a NAS, or a direct storage box plugged into your server. QNAP and Terramaster make reputable ones. Then you can setup your own storage pool across whatever drives you have.

I mean, you can stick a USB hub on a port and have multiple devices connected to it...

You must have a good after market body part dealer, for a new setup for local HDD’s I think I would need to sell an arm and a leg! This however may also be because I would want to setup a good NAS, even if it was just a random drive setup.

Joking aside have you considered a VPS? I recently went looking for drives that I could make a NAS with and to keep some things backed up off site, after seeing prices I thought about alternatives. EasyDNS, who hosts my domain name and email, also offer VPS’s so I got a VPS to backup my important things, I also have scripts that run to delete say TV show episodes after I have watched them that I will never watch again. It could be Jellyfin that does it for me or some script I vibe coded to work? Whenever you decide to get a new laptop, if you are not selling it pull the drive out you maybe able to still sell it without the drive if you are getting rid of a computer or know someone who is get the drive out of that my homelab has a bunch of different sized drives attached to different devices.
