For those (like me) who don't know: Lucario is a pokemon, and that just makes it funnier.

Also Lucario is a trans icon

I thought Sylveon was the trans icon of the series.

I think there are a few to be fair -- Gardevoir is another one I've seen, though more fem-coded

Gardevoir and gallade make way too much sense as a mtf and ftm trans icon respectively the more I think about it.

Sylveon is more of a mascot than an icon tho.

Lucario I swore was a gay pride icon not a trans icon tho?

For transmasc rep specifically, look no further than:

"Because Azurill's gender ratio does not match that of its evolved forms and its Evolution is not dependent on gender, female Azurill had a one-in-three chance of evolving into male Marill prior to Generation VI. This was because Azurill was female 75% of the time, while Marill and Azumarill were female only 50% of the time. Whether this occurred was determined by its personality value, specifically the last byte. Azurill is the only Pokémon with this distinction."

Because "Pocket Monster" is a euphemism for penis?

I wait with bated breath to witness this shit just once. I have an entire novel to unleash on the bigots. I have a good shot too, I'm 6 feet tall and I have PCOS.
