The homemade soup I'm making for my birthday is potato soup
Good choice. A nice rich and creamy potato soup always hits the spot.
I call that bacon soup with potato filler.
Socially acceptable way to eat spoonfuls of bacon.
I make a nice bacon and lentils soup.
The simple version is bacon, onion, lemon juice, veggie stock, and lentils.
The complex version just adds more veggies, and maybe some whole cherry tomatoes thrown in a few minutes before the end. You then get little pops of tomato flavor.
Ooo, next weekend can be chili weekend. I'm going to see a play my friend wrote and I should bring them all some steaming bowls of love.
