One pricing factor supercharged by AI: an estimate of how much each store's patrons are willing to pay.

I can tell the AI right now without any compute power needed... half of the current price, maximum.

The price increases since COVID and bullshit increase justifications when inflation is high for a single month, etc. have taken McDonald's completely out of consideration for me going forwards.

I can get a better, faster, cheaper burger at any number of other places nearby to every McD's. The app coupons/deals used to get it back to a reasonable cost, but even those are almost non-existent now.

McDonald's deeper push into AI pricing has potential regulatory and reputational risks.

Well, no worries there: McD has money to buy regulation, and their reputation has nothing to lose.
