Welcome to TheSimpsons, a community for discussing everything related to America's non-prehistoric cartoon family, The Simpsons!

Right about now, you're probably saying, "Troy, basically every post starts with 'Guess the Episode', is that all this community is?"

To which I say you've got some attitude, mister.

But no, any Simpsons content is allowed in this community, although we do ask that you keep the shitposting over in !simpsonsshitposting@sh.itjust.works.

Guess the Episode "Rules"

These "Rules" aren't real, so if you think of something clever, do that instead.

Only mystery that came close was “Who is Eric Cartman’s father?” a few years later.

America doesn't riot, but the closest they ever came was how South Park resolved that cliffhanger.

The best part is not only did they not put the answer in the next episode they originally didn't even make one

I still think Waylon Smithers successfully frame Maggie Simpson and there's nothing that can change my mind.

That song he sings about Mr. Burns is fantastic.

Did you see that Brent Forrester did a youtube video explaining the process behind this episode? Found it pretty interesting, and I had no idea about that weird contest they did.

[–] rozodru@piefed.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

yeah I remember the contest. I thought it was for the replica Simpsons house but I guess I remembered wrong and this one was for if you won you'd get animated into a future episode. no one won it though. but the way it was done was so weird. like you had to call 1-800-Collect and use the service and then they'd take down your info. THEN later on in that summer they would call 200 random people from the list. people either didn't answer the phone or just guessed wrong. majority guessed Smithers.

“…and with your last ounce of strength, you pointed to W and S…”

“What? No, with my last ounce of strength, I sucked out my gold fillings and swallowed them!”

It made no sense whatsoever.

Burns walks past the Simpsons wagon, Maggie is inside with a lollipop, Burns wants the lollipop, they struggle, Burns' gun slips out of his jacket holster, hits the floor, fires.

What made no sense was the blocking dome that somehow covers the entire town, even at sunrise and sunset, but is never visible in any horizontal shots (heh).
