Owned opposition. The fact that the majority of Americans view the democratic party as left leaning (or worse, "radically left") is among the greater information issue our society faces.

The strat is to take the party over with primary challengers and wear the old brand like a skin suit. This plan is underway and not going too poorly. I'm not gonna tell anyone not to also do other things, but I think this is gonna be the way we get results.
they don't want us to do it because if we are successful then the overton window will shift back left, and the "centrists" will have to face the music that their delusion of "being on the correct side" will shatter. They don't want to be the new conservatives because then they won't have the mantle of being "a good person" by proxy.
Like they are unaware (some of them are coming around thankfully) that they can just accept that it's government's actual job to make life easier for its citizens.
If your elected official sees themself as a leader first and public servant second, that "leader" needs to be changed like the diaper they are. (regards to Mark Twain)
They don't want it and they're trying to stop it. If I thought they could stop it, I might suggest a different strategy, but even the useless candidates who make it are having to fight for it.

Assuming citizens would respond to progressive policies with increased voter turnout/alliance then yeah.

The DNC is proof that "Moderation" can also become an impedance, and that is worse than opposition.

You have the full ability to look up decades of democratic and republican bill voting records.
democrats are capitalists, just like republicans. maybe different flavours, but they both serve capital at the end of the day. and they both believe that your rights are equivilent to the amount of capital you have to back them into existence.
I did this, I saw that only the Democratic party sponsored and voted for progressive policies.
I think what you mean is both parties are now controlled by money. This is true, but they do not vote the same way on progressive policies.
