Why create new news community? I'm tired of getting banned by crazy lemmy moderators under made up reasons for posting news articles (likely reddit subversive operation).
Also most of news communities are empty - this one will be full of content.
So i'm now creating my own community. everyone welcome, let's tear reddit down together.

“I want to say I’m sorry for what happened to Sam,” Arzuaga said. “I can’t take back what happened, although I wish I could. Sam really did love me and my kids.”

This is called not taking accountability for your actions. Something wasn't done - she did something. There's a huge fucking difference.

I read it, I still don't get the 'why'. Why do this at all?

[–] clifmo@programming.dev 2 points 18 hours ago

Why is interesting but harder to answer than how. Frankly, the disgusting dehumanization and deprivation of rights campaigns targeting trans persons is a major reason how things like this can happen.

Yeah, that is what confuses me most of all.

If someone makes you uncomfortable, for the most part, you can just leave.

There are plenty of groups of people who I hate, but I would never cause them harm just because of my feelings toward them.

I mostly just ignore them, just because I may hate a group, doesn't mean that I can just barge in and ruin their day.

I am also an IT guy at work, I have to help people I dislike, and do it with a smile and a friendly manner, every day to do my job.

Most of us have plenty of problems to deal with on our own, without an ass piling on more shit for us to deal with

Sadly thats natural tribal behavior. Read up what happens in nature to albino ape babys. Seriously don't, I think you might imagine what.

If you have not been brought up to tolerate other culture, you might think that is acceptable behavior.

It feels foreign, so its wrong and they deserve it. No further reason needed.

That is a good point, I have read about cultural dead zones in rural parts of the US, where only conservative media reaches, be it by technical reasons or traditional reasons.

That might also explains why some Americans traveling abroad can seem completely lost on basic realities in different countries.

Its not only the us. I went on holiday last year with another German that was confused about the lack of German language labels on a tourist spot in the Netherlands. The same dude asked an obviously Hindu woman with a spot on her forehead if her husband knew she was out withouta her Burka. Some people are just ignorant.

Evil people don't need a reason for being evil. Whatever ideology they cite is just window dressing.

Per search AI, there was no ideology cited: there was a history of domestic violence; and envy, interpersonal manipulation and sadism were said involved. These are just killers. To keep the rest of us safe from them, they are now where they belong.

Because she’ll get the Trump pardon. She was just doing her part for the cult.

He can’t pardon New York charges.
