To be fair, there were decades to prevent this. The big parties just didn't give any fucks. Now they are about to find out, how desperate the population actually is.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Nazis everywhere.
Germany won't allow this,right?
Our politics left a lot of people without representation. Then they voted like this.
Then they were ridiculed by parties in power. Then even more voted like this.
Then they were insulted by parties in power. Then even more people voted like this.
This is how we got here instead dealing with the root issues of decades of leaving people and problems behind, this happened. So that's what we get.
It never was about that Afd could fix anything. It always was about leaving behind, making fun of and making it harder for average and low income people without representation.

And the 'best' thing? Everytime Friedrich Merz opens his mouth the Afd profits off it.
Oh, the CDU did try to "fix the problem". They just didn't realize that "the problem" isn't immigrants or refugees or unemployed people. Sadly, the SPD didn't do any better, and the Greens went with their usual Realpolitik to keep the government from collapsing as long as possible (thanks FDP). And then there was the massive amount of propaganda pushed by far-right sensationalist media.
That's a lot of words to justify voting for a party whose chairwoman is literal nazi time praising, grand daughter of nazi finance minister.
"Nobody represented us so now we will vote in nazi" is not as coherent as you might think.
Die linke was literally compaigning for social programs for those "low income people without representation" and afd still got almost 20% in BW state election with their usual racist bullshit.
Its about time germany realizes that it never got rid of its racism problem after nazism and "lets gather all jews and send them to middle east with weapons" wasn't the right solution.
I'm not voting for them.

The formerly big parties discuss just outlawing the party. Actually tackling the problems of the people in the economically weak regions was sadly never seen as an option.
